Family - I feel incredibly lucky to have found a woman whose life I've shared for the last three decades, and we have raised a son and daughter with some success.
Career - I have worked for three decades in the human-computer interaction field for startups, megacorporations, and my own companies. Autodesk, IBM, UPS, ADP, Promethean, and Aimtech were where I learned my craft. Titles have included UI Designer, Interaction Designer (probably the most fitting given my skill set), Information Archtect, and User Experience Designer.
GDD - My upcoming podcast, Getting Design Done, is meant as a spring board for new UX Designers looking for the real truth about working in software design for a small, medium or large company. It's my attempt to give back some of what I've learned by hosting colleagues and design pundits in discussions around "the personalities and processes of UX Design."
Hobbies - Every weekend I play electric blues guitar lead for my own amusement. I have a large Marvel comic collection started back in 1975 while in collect; I no longer collect, but it has been fun watching their value soar as the Marvel metaverse expanded.
Pets - Cats, only cats. I grew up with dogs and still like dogs, but cats like me, so I like cats. We have two Maine Coon's and have had two other pairs of Maine Coons in the last three decades.
